The Walla Walla Area Small Business Center was founded in 1993 to provide counseling and education services to the small business community to increase their chances for success. The center serves both startup and existing business with a primary focus on business counseling.

Rich Monacelli - Director,

Rich Monacelli has served as Director of the Walla Walla Area Small Business Center since it opened in September 1993. Rich is responsible for developing and directing all aspects of the center including counseling, workshops, technical assistance and advocacy. He is employed by Walla Walla Community College. Rich holds Bachelor and Masters degrees in Business Administration from Western Washington University. His volunteer efforts include more than 20 years of leadership with the Boy Scouts of America.
