The
Walla Walla Area Small Business Loan Fund was established
to provide loans to non-traditional borrowers that would not
normally qualify for bank financing. This includes start-up
businesses or existing businesses that do not have established
banking relationships.
The
loan fund is targeted to those individuals willing to commit
the time and energy to developing and implementing a well
thought out business plan (marketing plan, balance sheet,
cash flow, etc.) which the client prepares with the assistance
of the Small Business Center. Once the plan is completed,
participating banks are contacted to review the loan proposal.
In
general, the Small Business Loan Fund will be utilized by
Small Businesses having less than 15 employees and loan amounts
will vary between $5,000 and $100,000. Each participating
bank, however, retains the flexibility to establish loan amounts
and terms and conditions.
